Certified Tutor

Hi! My name is Tommy. I am currently enrolled in Georgia State University majoring in Chemistry/Pre-Pharmacy. I am bilingual in Chinese, both Mandarin and Cantonese. Subjects that I had taught in the past include mathematics from algebra to college calculus, Chemistry from general chemistry to college organic chemistry, economics, physics, and biology. I had been a tutor for almost 4 years now and I had taught in Georgia State University as a teacher assistant. I am dedicated to help and teach my students to excel in their academics. I had a lot of achievements when I was a tutor. I helped this young middle school student, who was struggling in algebra, to obtain the highest test grades in his class with a 96. I also helped a few biology students who were also struggling to improve in their academic performance. My strategy in tutoring is to observe, listen, understand, and help the student. Observe the student's past performance, listen to them and check to see why they have such poor performance, understand the requirements in their school curriculum, and then start helping the student to perform better in school.
