I am an undergraduate at Tulane University in New Orleans, but will be spending next year abroad at the London School of Economics. I was born here in San Francisco, and I have lived in this amazing city ever since. I???ve been tutoring for several years in a variety of subjects: from reading and writing for ESL (English as a second language) students, to Calculus and Economics, and for a variety of ages: from kindergarteners to my peers at college. Math has definitely been my favorite subject to tutor; I find joy in helping people who are struggling get to a point where concepts finally make sense. There is a sort of instant gratification when you are able to find a solution to a tricky math problem. Through my experience with standardized tests like the SAT, I have found many tricks to beating the ???game??? of standardized testing and would love to share them with you. Most importantly, I believe that everyone has a unique learning style and that I, as a tutor, need to adapt to be able to help the students I work with get the most out of tutoring.
During my free time I enjoy baking, spending time with friends at a park, and going to music festivals. I also love exploring the city of New Orleans when I???m at school, and I even still enjoy wandering San Francisco despite having lived here my entire life.
I think everyone has the potential to succeed in whatever subject they choose as long as they put their mind to it. I am looking forward to the chance to help you reach whatever goals you???ve set!
