I very much enjoy being around children and love teaching them. Watching children's innocent minds grow and mature is thrilling. Teaching allows me the chance to be little again. My interest in teaching began when I was in third grade when I struggled myself as a student. The impact my third grade teacher had in my life inspired me to become a teacher.
My education journey began in 2001 and I graduated in 2004 with a BA in Education and Interdisplinary Studies. My experience ranges from teaching Kindergarten, all the way up to 6th. I have tutored students in all subject areas, but enjoy tutoring Reading, Writing and Math. Watching students faces light up when achieving a goal is something I want each student to experience during every tutoring session. It is important for children to feel successful and have a positive outlook about learning.
When not working with students, I can be found scrapbooking, shopping, spending time with family, and attending church activities.
