Certified Tutor

I am originally from Havana, Cuba. Ever since middle school I knew I wanted to major in mathematics in college. I liked the fact that you could approach this subject in the same way you would approach a puzzle; to me math has always been like a game. My dreams came true after I came to the United States eight years ago. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics at Bard College, a small liberal arts school in upstate New York. After graduating I moved to Miami and attended the University of Miami and earned my Masters degree in Mathematics.
Since my undergraduate studies I have been tutoring, mainly subjects like Algebra, PreCalculus, Trigonometry, Calculus I and II, Discrete Math and Probabilities. I enjoyed tutoring so much that after graduating I decided to join Miami Dade College as an Adjunct Faculty. There I have taught Intermediate and College Algebra, PreCalculus and Trigonometry.
When I am not in a classroom I like spending time with my friends and my two cats, cooking and traveling.
