Certified Tutor

I received my education at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. I majored in History and Spanish language and attained a B.A. in both of these subjects, graduating cum laude in 2012. I have since gone abroad to teach English in Madrid, Spain, and returned to get my Master of Library and Information Science at Rutgers University with an expected completion date of May 2015. I have tutored on and off since high school, mainly in Geometry, Chemistry, and History. When I went abroad, I not only taught English in school, but tutored it on the side as well, mainly to students who were having trouble and who were looking to get ahead. I am totally devoted to the student, not willing to give up when things become difficult to understand or explain. I believe I am good at making students really care about the subjects that they are learning, not just learn it for the sake of the test or their teachers. I tutor many subjects, but would have to say that my greatest passions lie in Spanish, History, and Chemistry. I would say that my greatest strengths as a tutor lie in my ability to give perspective on a subject and in my ability to learn as I teach. In addition to tutoring, I greatly enjoy tennis and reading, and I am an avid movie buff.
