Certified Tutor

I received my BA from Princeton University, where I studied Comparative Literature and Creative Writing. Within my major, I focused on Latin American literature and Spanish-English translation. After graduation, I spent a year in Phnom Penh, Cambodia as a teaching fellow with the Princeton in Asia organization. I taught ESL and Essay Writing to sixty Cambodian university students. On nights and weekends, I also tutored adult professionals in Business English and communication skills. While I enjoy tutoring a range of different subjects, including SAT Prep, I most enjoy teaching Reading, Writing and ESL. I believe that teachers and tutors should work to communicate their passion for a subject to a student, because interest is often the gateway to understanding and improvement. Along with reading and writing, music has been my lifelong passion. In my free time, I play the guitar and piano, write songs, and occasionally perform around the Boston area. I also like to run and play basketball.
