Certified Tutor

I attended the University of Virginia, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, a lifelong love of reading, writing and problem solving, and a deep passion for southern barbecue! I have tutored students ages K-4 all the way through college-bound SAT takers, both in and outside of formal classroom settings. Though my wide range of tutoring experiences has taught me to adapt to different learning styles and personalities, it has also left me with the understanding that every path to academic success begins with confidence and a positive attitude. My approach to teaching is based on positive reinforcement, encouragement, and the belief that every wrong answer simply brings us one step closer to finding the right one. Though I tutor many subjects, I find SAT preparation to be particularly rewarding. Everyone has a dream school, and there is nothing better than turning a dream into an acceptance letter!
In my spare time, I love cooking, eating, reading, listening to all types of music and exploring the city!
