I received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Archaeology from Yale University in 2004. I spent the next few years working in academic publications at Harvard University, and have traveled extensively as an archaeologist. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Archaeology at the City University of New York Graduate Center. Since moving to New York, I have worked with high school science students as a National Science Foundation Fellow, and have been teaching college-level anthropology for the past two and a half years. I tutor in a number of subjects, including Anthropology, Anatomy, Earth Science, Reading and Writing. Above all, I believe that academic success starts with solid goal-setting, organization and breaking down material that feels overwhelming into easily accessible portions. When we do this, we can see information transform into knowledge, which builds a strong framework for future accomplishments. When I am not teaching or doing research, I enjoy creative, hands-on hobbies like baking, sewing, general home improvement, and watching scary movies while hiding behind my hands.
