Certified Tutor

I completed my Master's in Secondary Education at the University of Dayton. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and an Associate of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering Technology from the University of Cincinnati. As a licensed, highly qualified, Integrated Science Teacher in the state of Ohio, I have experience teaching high school AP & General Chemistry, AP & General Biology, Physical Science, and Physics. I have tutored ACT Science and Ohio Graduation Science and Mathematics Test preparation courses. I have tutored high school and college students for close to 20 years, tutoring privately and as a Tutor during college. I think of myself as a guide or coach, helping my students acquire relevant life skills, such as, learning how to learn, developing a desire to learn, and how to develop diverse ways to think and solve problems. I love science, and am enjoy helping others understand the world we live in. My education and work experience as a Research Scientist helps me to share relevant examples with students of how to solve problems and think critically. I enjoy the outdoors, either hiking, bicycling or hanging out with my two English Shepherds, Duke and Brittany. I love reading, healthy cooking, and going to concerts.
