Certified Tutor

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Memphis. I have 25 years of teaching experience in an enriched academics program in the Shelby County Schools in Memphis, Tennessee. The majority of the time I taught 2nd grade but have also taught 3rd and 4th grade and am certified to teach grades 1 - 8. I was a Level 5 Teacher and a Career Ladder teacher at the time of my early retirement, just prior to my family relocating to the Pittsburgh area. I love teaching and miss working with students. My favorite subject is math but I also greatly enjoy tutoring in English/grammar, reading, and writing. I like to make learning fun and interesting and relate it to a student's life so he/she can see the importance of it.
