Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, and also minored in Spanish. Now I am pursuing a Masters in Teaching in the Seattle area. I recently spent a year teaching English in the beautiful country of Costa Rica as a TEFL certified instructor. I was able to teach and tutor people of all ages and all skill levels, from high school students to professionals looking to expand their skills set. These experiences have given me a lot of confidence in tutoring English related topics such as reading and writing, and I am fluent in Spanish after living abroad for over a year, so I would greatly enjoy tutoring anybody with the desire to improve in that subject as well. However, my ultimate goal is to become a high school history teacher, so I would be very interested in tutoring the subjects of American or European history. It is my belief that education is the most valuable resource we possess, since it is what gives us the confidence to succeed, the ability to solve problems, and allows us to achieve our goals. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, watching sports, kayaking, and getting out to experience the outdoors.
