I am a teaching student studying to become a middle school science and math teacher. Sharing new facts and explaining how much the sciences affect our lives and our future has always been a passion that I enjoy sharing. Math is the way we describe what we discover with science.

I have been a substitute teacher for all grades and all subjects in a rural district, then later worked in a maximum security Juvenile Rehabilitation facility. There, I worked at aiding teachers and individually tutoring students that had to be temporarily separated from the rest of the population. Throughout, I have maintained a steady and patient demeanor that puts students at ease. Fostering an environment for learning involves allowing students to experiment with new knowledge and understand its limits. Incorrect answers are just as important as correct ones, in their own ways. I provide students with a safe atmosphere to discover both.

I like working with middle and high school students mostly because they get my humor by that age. Younger students are just as fun because everything is new for them, and they're not afraid to be passionate about learning.
