Learning is about collaboration across different academic specialties. It is about finding relevance in the material that is specific to YOU that makes what you are learning important!
I graduated from Western Washington University in 2013 with a combined Bachelors of Science in Biology and Anthropology, and I am attending the University of Washington starting Fall 2015 in the Biocultural Anthropology PhD program, specializing in Medical Anthropology and Global Health. I have a passion for both science and creativity, as I find that both thrive when each is present. Outside of school, I'm an avid social dancer and have been teaching, DJing, and dancing for 3.5 years. I bring humor, enthusiasm, and tons of encouragement to my students. Let's learn together!

What is your teaching philosophy?
Learning is about collaboration across different academic specialties. It is about finding relevance in the material that is specific to YOU that makes what you are learning important! I start from the ground up with my students, fortifying conceptual frameworks, and gradually edging the limits of the intellectual comfort zone until harder applications are no longer challenging. I collaborate as an equal, not as a superior, such that we work as a team to come to an answer, and more importantly, a deep understanding of the material at hand.
