I enjoy helping others find their way through challenging and new concepts, especially math and physics. I like to break concepts down to basics to make sure the student understands those before moving on to the bigger picture.
I have experience working with a wide variety of students of all ages, having tutored for over five years.
I am comfortable with a wide variety of subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Statistics, Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry, Physics, and Spanish.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and my professional background includes eight years working as Civil Engineer.
I am a fitness enthusiast who enjoys yoga, kettlebells, and pilates. I also love reading, hiking, and photography.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe in paying attention to why and what the student wants to learn. By paying attention, I can better cater my method of presenting learning material - by finding ways to make it relevant to the student.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I will ask what brings them to tutoring and about their goals. I would complete a brief assessment of the student and review background topics as needed. If applicable, I would note any test/quiz deadlines, and plan future sessions accordingly.
