Certified Tutor

I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering technology and now Im pursuing a masters degree in mechanical engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Since I was a sophomore in college Ive been tutoring part time and between my degrees I taught high school calculus(AP), physics, and chemistry in a high school for two years. Ive also worked for two years as a research and development engineer. The subjects I tutor are geometry, algebra, trigonometry, IB math, physics, and calculus. My favorite subject to tutor is calculus because it has so many real life applications and the logic behind it is fascinating to me. When I teach I focus on giving simple explanations and analogies regardless of how complicated a topic is. When tutoring I usually give some background on the subject and show an example problem. Then I ask my students to solve a similar problem and after they develop confidence we move on. As someone who has needed tutoring in the past, I understand what it means to struggle when learning material and thats why I have a passion for tutoring. Outside of tutoring I enjoy playing soccer, watching sports, traveling around Europe and playing my guitar.
