I look forward to helping you become better with your math, algebra I, and/or geometry work and understanding of such. I am certified to teach these subjects, have taught an algebra I class, and tutored for algebra I and geometry. Many of my students tell me I am very helpful to them. I currently teach math and algebra I for those seeking a GED. When I can, I try to give alternate ways of working some problems so the student can use whichever method works better for them.
I tested out of having to do math work in college. I had some great teaching at a high school to allow me to do this. I was 1 of 4 valedictorians for a class of around 770.
I used some of my math skills while being an economics major in college and earning my BA, graduating with highest honors (3.92/4).
I have taught and tutored for a pre-college algebra class for one semester, and I was invited to teach the next semester the same class, given the class's improvement. I have also tutored for geometry. I try to use realistic examples to apply algebra or geometry whenever I can. I also try to give whenever I can an alternative way of doing some problems, so one can latch on to which method works better for him/her. I will also try to come up with an acronym, funny label, or some other corresponding memory cue to help students remember how to work some problems.

I enjoy walking. I enjoy talking about good nutrition. I also am interested in discussing some parts of history and the universe's start and possible sustenance, as well as the possibility of a supernatural Creator(s) of its physical laws. I have also studied the Bible (and the Qur'an a bit). I also enjoy meeting at a Wendy's for tutoring.
