As a math educator, I make math interesting by using energy and enthusiasm to teach ideas while guiding students along a path where each new concept is a natural consequence of the previous and a natural precursor to the following. Math is possible by presenting it in the right way. Thoroughly explaining theorems and formulas,I equip students with techniques and strategies to tackle any problem successfully.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Mathematics has a profound impact in our daily lives, and its purpose surpasses the tedious calculations that has created the negative perception. It is important to know that the ability to think rationally, to clearly organize ideas, and to accurately apply concepts to derive solutions are traits that will always have a practical application. Mathematics can be viewed as a beautiful art form, and I aim to help students develop respect and admiration for the subject.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I want to get a measure of the student's strengths and possible misconceptions so that future sessions are experiencing maximum productivity.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I want the student to develop a toolbox of strategies and techniques that they know/understand how to use for independent problem solving through perseverance.
