As a composition instructor and English literature PhD candidate at the University of Washington, I have plenty of experience tutoring high school, college, and graduate students in the areas of writing, language, rhetoric, English and world literature, as well as corresponding standardized test areas (GRE verbal and written, SAT and ACT verbal, AP language and literature). I also specialize in editorial and proof work, including admission essays and writing samples. My goal is to tailor each tutoring session to the student's needs and ambitions, and to use our time together to sharpen transferable skills, which will enable said student to tackle as wide a spectrum of academic and rhetorical situations as possible.
