Certified Tutor

I am a 7th grade Reading teacher, prior to me becoming a reading teacher, I taught 8th grade Language Arts for two years. This is my third year of teaching, and I must say that I absolutely LOVE what I do! Nothing excites me more than seeing my students develop a passion for reading/writing and being able to analyze a text in ways that they never knew that they could do. I love reaching and teaching students on all levels to help them to reach their academic goals as well as build confidence. I live by a simple teaching philosophy. I call them the 3 C's (Caring, Compassion, and Commitment).

A little bit more about me! I am a 2011 graduate of the University of Phoenix, and my major was Psychology. I am currently working to obtain my Master's degree in Curriculum and Education from Texas A& M University Commerce. I've been in the field of education for about 5 years total. I started out in Higher Education, before I became a middle school teacher. My hobbies include reading suspense stories, traveling, painting, horseback riding, and my most favorite thing to do is spending time and creating memorable experiences with my 12 year old daughter.

I am looking forward to working with my students and parents and anticipate amazing results!
