I am an actor, singer, and writer/proofreader as well as a tutor. I have taught theatre to Romani children in Slovakia, and taught Shakespeare workshops in America to young students. I have also worked as a freelance proofreader and tutor in various disciplines. I enjoy reading, riding my bicycle, and swimming in the ocean.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that learning happens when the student is a part of the conversation. As an actor, I understand the value of effective communication, so I make sure to speak the language that resonates with each particular student.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a first session, I would ask the student to tell me what he/she felt were his/her weaknesses and strengths. I would also assess our starting point by watching the student work. For example, in math, I may give a few practice problems and ask the student to walk me through them. This way I can best assess where to begin and how to proceed.
