Certified Tutor

Hello, I am Lorena Ortiz and I am currently living in El Paso, TX. I shoud start by stating that I am very excited to be working as a tutor again. teaching in any form is one of my biggest passions.

I have lived in many big cities inside of Texas such as San Marcos where I attended Texas State University, Austin, San Antonio, where I enrolled in San Antonio college. I also lived in Lubbock for a short amount of time and now I am back in my hometown El Paso, TX.

My first tutoring experience was in 2009 where I became an AVID Tutor at San Marcos High school. I helped high school students (enrolled in this program) in any area they were struggling with. The other tutors and I helped them prepare for college also by helping with college applications, entrance exams, SAT preparation and even scholarship applications. I felt honored to have played a small part in those kids' path to success.

I, unfortunately have not had the opportunity to work as a tutor since then but have always wanted to go back ever since I moved. I am looking forward to being a tutor once again.
