I love helping individuals achieve success in innovative ways!

I'm truly excited about the opportunity to truly make an impact in someone's life. As a former ESL teacher, I was given a basic outline on program curriculum but had to develop the classroom content each week. I designed my weekly class schedule based on the progress my students made the week prior but I also pushed and challenged them individually in their respective capacities.

Additionally, I believe I can add value based on my ethnic background, as the emotional, educational, financial and cultural challenges I faced migrating to the US made me a mentally stronger person. Im able to relate, adapt to changing situations and understand their personal struggles. Furthermore, I am confident in my ability to break down and relay the curriculum content in a comprehensible way to students because of the trainings I have facilitated in the past and my knowledge of people, personalities, and learning styles. Moreover, at Cents-Ability not only was I a volunteer teacher, I also conducted outreach by visiting different schools to encourage Principals to implement the program into their curriculum. This is how dedicated I was to the mission of educating students about financial literacy.

Lastly, I recall my personal experience with an accounting tutor in High School. I struggled with the course content and as time went by I decided to enroll in evening tutoring classes to prepare for my final exams. This was one of the best decisions I made in my life. The tutor was at another school some distance away but well worth the commute. I wish I could recall the teachers' name but she was really passionate about accounting. Her fire, her drive, it was palpable, it was infectious! She was a godsend and without her, I would not have passed my final exams nor would I be an accountant today as unknown to her she has helped shape me to be the individual I am. Sadly she has no idea and I am unable to thank her personally but I do hope that I can be that person for students at Varsity Tutors.
