Hello,
My name is Jenny Cawood and I would love to help you, or your child, improve academically! My areas of expertise are essay writing, analytical or close reading, poetry scansion and analysis, reading comprehension, and spelling. I love sharing my passion for these subjects with others, and I am genuinely so happy when I see a student find their own excitement in learning. There is truly nothing like seeing a face light up with sudden understanding! I have found that, in my experience, no two children are alike. Because of this, I change my teaching approach depending on the specific needs of the student and how best they prosper. The constant, however, is my dedication to the excellence of my student.

A little about me: I have just graduated from St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland, where I completed a Great Books Program centered around the entirety of the Western Canon. I studied philosophy, comparative literature, the history of math and science, and music, primarily. Each year, I completed an annual, or thesis, essay on a work and question of my choice. Over four years, in order, I wrote thesis essays on Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, Milton's Paradise Lost, and Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale.
