Certified Tutor

I am a recent graduate of Binghamton University, where I majored in English, Political Science and Philosophy.

Growing up, I attended the Trinity School for high school, Hunter College High School for middle school, and the Chapin School from kindergarten through 6th grade. I also took summer college courses at Columbia University. Because of my variety of academic experience, I have studied for, taken and tutored the ISEE exams, the Hunter College High School admissions exams, the SAT and the ACT, as well as evaluative tests like the CTP and PSAT.

Additionally, I have tutored math and English for middle school and elementary school age children, as well as provided writing and college application support for high schoolers. In college, as editor of my school paper, I was responsible for the training of new writers each semester both on grammar and mechanics. I was also a TA for many courses, supporting students in their writing and essay needs, as well as comprehension.

As a tutor, my personal philosophy is that every student has the intellect and the ability to do high quality work, my job is to help identify and understand the road blocks. With patience and clarity and an adaptive educating style, each student can be helped through these challenges, and shown the tools for their personal success going forward.
