Hey there! My name is Jakub. I am a graduate of Knox College where I earned a Bachelors Degree in Creative Writing and Film Studies.

The better part of the last 5 years of my life have been spent in nonstop writing workshops, constantly critiquing the work of my fellow students in a process meant to strengthen both their writing and my own knowledge of it. I was lucky enough to have taken classes not only at Knox, but also abroad in London and Dublin, gaining exposure to hundreds of different writers and styles during my college experience.

Before college, I worked as a teachers assistant at the Polish Language School of Lombard, where often times I would find myself not only helping out individual students who needed extra help with their classwork, but on a few occasions even stepping in as a full blown substitute teacher.

After graduating college, I locked myself into an ongoing internship with KO Comedy productions in Los Angeles, working with stand up comedian Sammy Obeid to write scripts for short films and TV series. We currently have a project pitched to Comedy Central that has been part of serious conversations to get on the air, and I'm proud to say I played a role in crafting the pitch itself.
Likewise, I spent this last summer filming the pilot episode of a sitcom series that I wrote under the guidance of screenwriter Sherwood Kiraly, set to be released Thanksgiving weekend.
