My educational background has given me a solid understanding that student success relies on moving students from dependent learners to independent learners while continuing to develop confidence in their abilities and reaching their full potential. Establishing support for my students and coaching them to maintain a superior level of self monitoring will support and encourage their success. I apply my passion as a teacher to increase intrinsic motivation by applying authentic learning experiences.

I challenge students, not by giving them straightforward questions and answers, but instead, allow them to critically think and immerse themselves in the lesson. I value authentic learning as it creates a meaningful, tangible experience with each student where they can connect with what is being taught.
