This instructor is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Columbia University. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a B.S. degree in Psychology and a minor in National Security Studies. Before starting college, he was awarded a full-tuition scholarship from the Posse Foundation. His professional aspirations include earning a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a keen interest in the neuropsychology and tech-psychology subfields.

In addition to his role at Varsity Tutors, this instructor has been enriching students' learning experiences since 2016, contributing his expertise to two other prestigious tutoring institutions. With an extensive background in tutoring students ranging from pre-K to college and adult learners, as well as working with special-needs clients including those with ASD, ADHD, and Dyslexia, his experience spans a broad spectrum of educational needs. He also serves as a Clinical Research Associate at Baylor College of Medicine.

This instructor's tutoring approach is deeply influenced by his personal educational journey. He recognizes the profound impact that dedicated guidance can have on a student's academic path. To him, tutoring isn't just about imparting knowledge; it's about being both a steadfast pillar and a guiding hand. His commitment to strengthening students' motivation and sharpening their focus has consistently yielded improved performance and deeper comprehension. Beyond his academic pursuits, Syed has a myriad of interests including martial arts, architecture, automobiles, documentaries, and reading on topics of psychology and personal development.
