Certified Tutor

I am a molecular biology and ecology double major at the University of Michigan. I love genetics, cell biology, and anything to do with how living organisms interact with the world. I love taking observations that I make in the real world and trying to apply them to biological concepts that I've learned in class!
I have tutored lots of people throughout my academic career, including students in grades below me, my own grade, but most importantly, myself. I think the most valuable skill that I could pass along to a student is the ability to become your own tutor by learning strategies to make complicated things seem simpler. I have to do this all the time as a college student and I would love to pass this on to others.
I plan on going to graduate school after I am done with undergrad and getting a master's degree in molecular biology and hope to one day be a professor and researcher.

Hobbies

I was on the Michigan Quidditch Team for two years, and I'm a big Harry Potter nerd. I'm involved in a blood donor group at Michigan, helping staff blood drives and giving blood myself! I also play DnD regularly and watch lots of Critical Role, a popular DnD podcast. I've got a golden retriever named Max at home and I'm a big fan of animals. I also love going camping, hiking, and hammocking with my friends in the summer and playing a variety of sports, including ultimate frisbee, basketball, and volleyball.
