I graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and International Business. Since graduation, I have been teaching ESL for over 6 years, mainly to Portuguese native speakers. With my ESL experience, I have been able to teach/tutor several students on many subjects, and have gained broad knowledge within many areas. I am very passionate about teaching, and really push to get those "Aha moments" from my students. In my time as an ESL tutor, I have helped numerous students improve their communication skills and have helped prepare many for language proficiency tests. I am a strong believer in the importance of a well-rounded education and believe that teaching isn't just a one-way street where the teacher teaches and the student learns. Teaching is a shared process, where both teacher and student must learn more about the subject and about life.

I have many interests and hobbies, but the thing that adds to all those interests is that I'm an avid reader and a lifelong learner. I am passionate about nature and in my free-time I enjoy working/being in the garden and tending to my bee colonies.
