Certified Tutor

I am an experienced high school teacher of English, German, and English as a Second Language, with professional certification in Georgia, Florida, Texas, and Illinois. Additionally, I am an experienced college instructor and translator. I have taught research and essay writing at the college and high school levels, and many of my students have been highly successful gaining scholarships and admission to top universities.

After graduation from the University of Massachusetts with a MA in German, I spent a number of years at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand working toward the PhD in German and film studies. I have also studied and taught for a number of years in Germany.

Courses I have taught include American literature, British literature, film studies, IB German language, and college-level German literature and language. I am very familiar with the standards required for AP and IB German and also GCSE German.
