Certified Tutor

As a college student, I know that academic material can be really difficult to understand. However, over the years I've learned that it is always best to reach out to others for help and to use as many resources possible to help you succeed. That is why I've decided to become a tutor; I want to help others succeed and motivate them as well.

I have worked as a teacher at Kumon Math and Reading Center for two years, and I really enjoyed connecting with the students there. I believe that I've made a real impact there, and I want to continue making change through Varsity Tutors. I acquired my high school diploma from Detroit Country Day School, and I am currently pursuing my B.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. I'm also pursuing an Art and Design minor!

I teach a wide variety of subjects, but my favorite one is math because I love to problem solve! In general, my teaching style is very interactive and communicative, and I always encourage students to ask questions. I make sure that the student's voice is heard as I am teaching them the material.
