I am a graduate of Ryerson University where I received my Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Public Health & Safety and a Professional Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety. I recently graduated from the University of Guelph with a master's degree in Public Health (MPH). Since graduating from Ryerson University, I have become a Certified Public Health Inspector in Canada (CPHI(C)). I currently work at a public health unit as a health inspector and I mentor and coach students in the same field. I have also taught many courses and workshops in public health and sexual health in middle and high school for students and young adults. I have expert level knowledge in the field of public and environmental health and health sciences. This includes subjects in diseases, microbiology, biology, environmental science, health communications among others. I also have great knowledge in other subject areas such as statistics, biostatistics, risk assessments and analysis, and general math for elementary and middle school grades. Other subject areas that I have good well-rounded knowledge in are world history, ancient history, and English. I have a strong passion for educating others and teaching students to be the best they can be and to help them achieve their goals and be successful in whatever they put their mind to. I try and incorporate all types of learning styles and techniques that will help the student learn and understand the subject in a fun and creative way and will provide a safe and open learning environment for them where they feel comfortable in sharing their struggles and weaknesses which will hopefully become strengths after my tutoring sessions. In my free time, I enjoy reading, catching up on moves and TV shows, going on hikes with my dog, and spending time with family and friends.
