I am a graduate of Ontario Tech University with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education. I have over five years teaching experience in public education in Ontario as a classroom teacher. I have taught and supported students from kindergarten to grade 9 with the majority of my experience working with students from grade 2 to grade 9. I have experience in both gifted and mainstream classrooms. I have taught and tutored a variety of subjects; I am most passionate about math and science. I believe that student success is rooted in self reflective practices, clear communication and setting specific goals. I am a life long learner and since graduation have completed courses in best supporting English Language Learners and Special Education. I volunteer at local organizations including Marsh Monitoring and the humane society. I have an active lifestyle, I enjoy yoga, camping, travel and hiking.
