I graduated from St. Ambrose University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multimedia Journalism and Theatre along with a minor in Spanish. While in college, I was the editor of our college newspaper and the theatre e-newsletter, and I also tutored students in Spanish for a couple years. I've explored many aspects of journalism through professional TV, newspaper, and documentary internships and enhanced my Spanish-speaking skills by studying abroad in Costa Rica for a month. While tutoring, I believe it's important to be flexible and try a variety of approaches to a subject to find what works best for each student. I love hands-on activities and finding ways to make each subject relevant, fun, and engaging. I strongly encourage a thirst for knowledge and believe that education leads to greater appreciation of what life has to offer. To me, anything can be accomplished with hard work, organization, positivity, and collaboration.
