I have been a registered nurse since 1998 and have a diverse teaching background.

I began formally teaching at the university level in 2012 both on campus and online. I teach a variety of nursing courses, as well as a medical assistant course and Mental Health First Aid Training.

I have a PhD in nursing science and a master's degree in nursing education. My favorite subjects to teach are mental health nursing, research, ethics, and NCLEX preparation.

I am passionate about teaching and believe that given the opportunity, anyone can learn anything! My teaching philosophy is to meet students where they are and build on student strengths.

When it comes to passing the NCLEX, they key is to remain calm and learn how to answer the questions you DON'T know!
