I am driven by a profound commitment to shaping the future by helping students navigate their educational paths successfully. My passion for guiding students stems from the belief that they are the architects of tomorrow, and I view my role as supporting the next generation as they work for positive change.
With over a decade of experience in tutoring and teaching, I am an engaging, knowledgeable educator with specialties in a variety of areas. I hold degrees in Spanish and Psychology (B.A. and B.S. respectively) and a Master's in Education in Elementary and Special Education. My journey began during college, where I tutored middle and high school students, assisting with standardized test preparation and graduation requirements. Subsequently, I taught in various educational settings, providing support in basic numeracy and literacy to students in grades three through five.
My tutoring expertise covers a range of subjects, including Psychology, Spanish, English for speakers of other languages, Foundational reading and writing, and standardized test preparation. While I enjoy tutoring in these specific subjects, I find joy and fulfillment in creating engaging learning experiences tailored to student needs - regardless of the topic.
My teaching philosophy centers on the transformative power of education in improving one's life. I strive to instill this appreciation for learning in all my students, encouraging them to view education as a lifelong journey - one that even their tutor is on!
In summary, I am a dedicated and effective educator with degrees in Spanish, Psychology, and Education, experience in and out of classrooms, and a genuine passion for guiding students toward success. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your child's academic growth and look forward to the fruitful journey of collaborative learning.
