I am a 3rd-year electrical and computer engineering student at the University of Toronto. Throughout my life, I've always had a natural passion for teaching, which first lead to my leading impromptu tutoring sessions in high school for my friends. Soon, I would use this amateur experience learned in high school to develop a formal tutoring career, first working to support the educational needs of impoverished students as a volunteer for Connect Tutoring, a nonprofit organization dedicated to make tutoring free and affordable. Thereafter, I've lead a consistent role in online tutoring, supporting the needs of various students in STEM-related subjects such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Electrical/Computer-Engineering.
Through this, the one common thread amongst students I've noticed is: their struggling is often not because of them not being 'smart' enough, but due to an emphasis on memorization rather than understanding. There's a clear difference between knowing the name of something and actually understanding what that something is, a philosophy I consistently emphasize in my teaching lessons.

In my free-time, I enjoy listening to music (primarily EDM and its many, many variants); playing sports (volleyball as an outside hitter, or sometimes I like to do things on my own such as running or rowing); and watching movies, as in "here's to you, kid".
