Certified Tutor

Having studied in many countries and many states, I can convince you that my teaching abilities are more diverse and more strategic than your normal tutor. My BS was in biological chemistry with a math minor from the University of Utah. When I was in High School, I was teaching Algebra 3 & 4 to my colleagues at the same time as I was taking the class. This incident has elevated my methods of teaching. I will go above and beyond to tutor my students according to their understanding abilities and learning tactics. In college, I continued the path of teaching Chemistry and Math in the department centers and the student center. I have helped students pass their organic chemistry after years of struggling to pass the course. My STEM focus was on point as I was mentoring freshmen in the STEM program of Phoenix College. While working in the field of Research and Development, I still teach coworkers and use my math skills to do cell culture experiments and method development. Recently, at High Bluff Academy and Mathnasium in San Diego CA, I taught K1-12 STEM teens in advanced placement and AP courses. I like to research new curricula and keep up with the new technology used in schools because a tutor must know what students are exposed to in class.
