Certified Tutor

I am passionate about helping students because I believe in the power of education to transform lives.

I recently retired after a 40-year career as an engineer and I would love to share what I have learned with you. My experience working with others has spanned numerous years and I have helped anyone from those still in school to seasoned professionals.
I received my education at Arizona State University, where I attained a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering as well as a Masters in Business Administration. In addition, I have taken numerous classes through work as well as through the internet.

My main teaching areas include Excel, math, statistics and Six Sigma, where I obtained a certificate as a Black Belt.
My teaching philosophy centers on fostering critical thinking, encouraging curiosity, and creating a supportive learning environment. I believe in empowering students to become independent learners who can apply their knowledge beyond the classroom. My tutoring style is collaborative, engaging students in active learning through discussions, problem-solving, and real-world applications.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy being with my wife of 40 years, my daughter and her two grand kids. I also enjoy pickleball, trivia contests and traveling. I look forward to hearing from you and working together towards achieving your goals. Thank you.
