Hello! My name is Alia. I'm a 28-year-old woman living in Cajun country, Louisiana. I'm a passionate and dedicated tutor with a strong background in computer science and mathematics. As a computer science major myself, I've spent years honing my skills and knowledge, and I'm excited to share that expertise with my students.


Education:

I'm currently a senior undergraduate studying Computer Science at Louisiana State University. My coursework has covered a wide range of topics, from algorithms and data structures to software engineering and machine learning. I thrive on solving complex problems and helping others understand the intricacies of programming. I previously spent 3 years in nursing school before realizing it wasn't where my passions truly lie (although I very much enjoyed the time I spent in the program!); I acquired a strong background in biology as a result.

Additionally, I hold a minor in Mathematics! Algebra, trigonometry, proof theory, calculus; I've tackled them all. Whether it's explaining the fundamental concepts or diving into advanced topics, I'd love to help guide you through your journey.

ACT Writing:

While still a high school student, I wrote several short stories and research essays that made it into regional magazines. In addition to an ACT writing score of 10 out of 12, I believe this reflects my ability to communicate effectively.
