I received my education in two different countries growing up. I found that although students are learning the same concepts, teaching is extremely flexible depending on many different factors, such as the culture, community, and upbringing each individual carries. Therefore, half of the learning process is me learning what works with you. I enjoy teaching because of the level of confidence it can bring to a student. I myself recall the times when a concept was so difficult to understand, however, by simply listening to another teacher's perspective, what seemed so difficult became so simple. The feeling of finally grasping something that wasn't understood brings immense joy, and I hope to be a part of that process. I am currently undergoing an bachelors degree in Psychology and Political Science, however, I am also well versed in subjects beyond those majors from K-12 grade levels. I can mentor mathematics (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, math from grades 1-7), English (K-10), AP World History, History (K-12), Politics, African Studies, African Literature. I look forward to working with you!

I enjoy playing basketball and fishing in my free time. Although it requires a great deal of patience, there is peace attained through fishing that is hardly found elsewhere. You sit for hours waiting for something uncertain to catch on, and once it does, the adrenaline rush and excitement make the long wait 100% worth it. Although I fish because I enjoy the whole process of it, when looking at it from a different lens, fishing also shows the art of patience, even at times of uncertainty. A second hobby of mine is basketball and that is because I enjoy the competitiveness of the sport and playing the game itself!
