My journey in process technology and industrial process instrumentation began with a strong academic foundation, earning dual Associate degrees that set the stage for a dynamic and impactful career. I joined BP, where I was entrusted with the maintenance and troubleshooting of advanced instrumentation and control systems, notably on the Nakika deepwater project. My role involved managing critical systems, where I ensured the reliable operation of smoke detectors, deluge systems, and other safety mechanisms essential to the safety and efficiency of operations.
After nearly a decade in the oil and gas industry, I transitioned to an instructional role at MIAT College of Technology, driven by a desire to impart industry knowledge and practical skills. At MIAT, I had the privilege of training future professionals in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, and industrial automation, integrating industry-standard platforms like Allen Bradley's RSLogix/Studio 5000 and Siemens SIMATIC Step 7 into hands-on modules. My teaching philosophy is grounded in real-world applications, bridging complex theory with practical, actionable skills, enabling students to excel in high-demand technical fields.
Passionate about education and mentorship, I am committed to inspiring and equipping students to build successful careers. I aim to create an environment that fosters critical thinking, innovative problem-solving, and the confidence to become independent, capable learners.
