Certified Tutor

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with distinction, from the University of Michigan, along with a background in pre-medical coursework. I'm passionate about teaching and have eight years of tutoring experience across a variety of subjects, including math, science, and ESL. My experience spans all age groupsfrom elementary students learning sight words to adults pursuing their GED. Additionally, I completed an externship at a local elementary school, where I worked one-on-one with students with learning disabilities.

I focus on building each student's self-efficacy and cultivating a positive relationship with learning. My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and non-judgmental, beginning at a foundational level and ensuring students fully understand each step. I like to integrate students' interests into the material to make sessions engaging, as well as to gradually increase difficulty as their skills grow, offering support until they can confidently solve problems on their own.
