Certified Tutor
earned High Honors and completed a co-op placement in Toronto. I also hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Dalhousie University in Halifax, which I completed in 2015 with a co-op component.
My passion for working with students began through volunteer service at my church, where I regularly participated in Vacation Bible School and taught Sunday school. I completed Plan to Protect training and a background check to ensure that I could support children in a safe and structured environment. These experiences helped me understand the importance of preparation, patience, and flexibility when working with young learners.
I have a global educational background, having attended kindergarten in Vancouver, and completed my elementary and high school education in Hong Kong. I am trilingual in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, which allows me to support students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
At Seneca Polytechnic, I served as a support group leader, helping fellow students review lecture materials, develop exercises, and engage in activities that reinforced our classroom learning. This role deepened my understanding of collaborative learning and the importance of peer support in academic success.
While I tutor a variety of subjects, I am especially passionate about computer science and programming. I enjoy guiding students through problem-solving processes and helping them develop logical thinking skills. I aim to make learning both structured and interactive, often incorporating real-world examples and activities to ensure concepts are fully understood.

I enjoy simulation-based learning through video games and staying active through swimming, table tennis, volleyball, and badminton. I value the friendships and teamwork that come from shared activities and believe that learning happens both inside and outside the classroom. I also enjoy coding and building websites, especially when it involves tackling challenges, finding alternative solutions, and making ideas come to life through functional and creative implementations.
