Certified Tutor
I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Honours Health Sciences at McMaster University, where I've developed a strong foundation in science, English, and math. My passion for helping students stems from my own experience navigating academic challenges and discovering the difference that guidance and encouragement can make. I've worked with students both formally and informally, through volunteer programs, peer mentorship, and leadership roles, helping others gain confidence in their abilities and succeed in their studies.
I tutor a range of subjects including English, math, and science. My favourite subject to tutor is science. I enjoy breaking down complex scientific concepts in a way that makes them engaging and easy to understand, and I love seeing students develop curiosity about the world around them. Science encourages analytical thinking and problem-solving, which are valuable skills beyond the classroom.
My teaching philosophy centers on patience, active listening, and building a supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes. I adapt my tutoring style to the needs of each individual, whether they benefit from visual explanations, step-by-step breakdowns, or discussion-based learning. I believe that learning should be engaging and empowering, and I strive to help students develop not just academic skills but also confidence and curiosity.
Outside of academics, I enjoy sports, hiking outdoors, reading, and volunteering in my community. These interests often inspire my teaching and help me connect with students on a more personal level.

Undergraduate Degree: McMaster University - Bachelor of Science, Health Sciences, General
I love reading, sports, and hiking outdoors. One of my favourite things to do on a summer day is to sit outside with a good book. I always tell my students they have to talk to me about Harry Potter at least once! I’m also really into sports. I played rugby for a few years, including a season with McMaster’s varsity team, which was an intense but super rewarding experience. These days, I’ve gotten really into running, especially now that the weather's warming up. I also love hiking, particularly when my family goes camping up north every summer. Basically... it sounds like I really like summer. Does that count as a hobby?
