If you're seeking an NNAT prep course for your student, Varsity Tutors can help you connect with a fantastic instructor who can support them as they study. Offered to students between kindergarten and 12th grade, the NNAT3 or Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test-Third Edition serves as a nonverbal assessment of general academic abilities. It is most often used to identify gifted students who may benefit from taking advanced classes. The exam takes 30 minutes on the computer or paper to solve the multiple-choice problems. The test uses geometric designs and shapes to present problems. It aims to determine how well your student can perform when interacting with things that are new to them. As many schools use the results of the NNAT3 to choose the best programs for your student, they may benefit from NNAT prep classes that focus on each aspect of the exam. A one-on-one NNAT course may allow them unique insight into the exam.
An NNAT class can focus on the level of the NNAT that your student is taking. Levels are divided by age, as the below table demonstrates:
NNAT 3 Levels
- A-D
- Age Range from 5 years to 11 years and 5 months
- Level A can also be administered to high-ability 4-year-olds but is not recommended for the general population
- E-G
- Age range from 9 years and 6 months to 17 years and 11 months
One-on-one NNAT prep courses are led by an expert instructor who can expand on the areas in which your child has the most room to grow. The NNAT covers four main areas of knowledge: Spatial Visualization, Analogy, Pattern Completion, and Serial Reasoning. Your student's NNAT class can explore all areas or minimize their focus to specific sections or concepts. Their instructor can get to know their individual learning needs to form a test prep plan. Your student's plan takes their learning preference, interests, skills, and areas of opportunity into account.
Throughout your student's NNAT courses, they are free to work at a pace that suits their needs. Perhaps your student struggles to use analogies to reach a conclusion. Their instructor can help them spend time practicing similar problems until your student feels comfortable with their abilities. Throughout each NNAT prep class, your student can ask questions and get clarification instantly rather than waiting until the end of their study session.
Thorough test prep can allow your student to practice testing strategies that can help them manage their time and reduce stress during the exam. Their instructor can take the time to demonstrate problem-solving skills or explain different ways to approach the same type of problem.
Your student's NNAT course is as convenient as can be. We will work to find you a private instructor who can meet your student online via our Live Learning Platform. This virtual feature allows you to webcam chat with your private tutor while reviewing for the test. We strive to help you connect with an instructor who can provide a flexible schedule to meet your needs.
Don't hesitate to give your student a leg up with NNAT classes. Varsity Tutors' Educational Directors are standing by to answer any questions you may have about this exam. We can't wait to support your student as they work to build their academic abilities for this exam.

Therefore, I realized that I should be patient when teaching things that may look quite obvious to myself. I also make sure that I go over the difficult concepts more than once so that students are able grasp the knowledge. My ultimate goal always is to create an environment where each student can equally excel.
