What Does San Francisco MCAT Prep Cover?
We'll set you up with San Francisco MCAT prep that can cover all sections of the test. The MCAT is a computer-based, standardized exam. The sections of the test assess many different topics and skills that professionals in the field and medical students agree are necessary for succeeding in a medical school program. There are four sections: Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems, Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills, Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems, and Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior. Now, we'll go into detail about what each section assesses and the things you will need to know for each one to succeed.
First, the Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems section focuses on the human body's organs, tissues, and systems, as well as the chemical and physical principles that operate the mechanisms in the human body. You will need to know a living system's basic chemical and physical principles. You will also need to know chemical reactions, the periodic table, and the laws of physics. This section tests the subjects of chemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry, physics, biology, and basic biochemistry. There are 59 multiple-choice questions, and you are allowed 95 minutes to answer.
In the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills section, you will be given 53 multiple-choice items that are split into 9 sets of questions based on provided passages. This section must be completed in 90 minutes. You will be tested on a variety of subjects and disciplines in the social sciences and humanities as well as English. This section focuses on your ability to comprehend a passage, reason verbally, and skillfully analysis a passage. Knowing how to pull ideas from the passage and apply it to new contexts, as well as how to infer meaning from elements of a passage, are all important for this section's questions.
The Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems section focuses on your skills in scientific inquiry, reasoning, as well as your understanding of the processes unique to living organisms and the concepts of the biological and biochemical foundations. You will need to know how cells and organ systems work together to grow and reproduce and how they act independently from each other. How organisms maintain a constant environment internally, get materials and energy, and how they sense and respond to different environments.
The last section we will discuss is the Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior section. This section consists of 59 multiple-choice items split into 10 sets of passage-based questions and 15 independent questions. You get 95 minutes to answer all of the questions. This section covers biology, intro to psychology, and intro to sociology. You will need to know the skills needed to treat a diverse population, what human and social issues are present in the medical field, and how mental health and behavior affect a person's health. A basic understanding of behavior and its changes, cultural and social differences, access to resources, and how people view themselves and others are important concepts to understand in this section.
You may also face some experimental questions in any of these sections, but they will not count toward your final score. The composite MCAT score combines your scores from all four sections, resulting in a total that ranges from 472-528. Each of the section's scoring ranges from 118-132. You will take this computer-based, multiple-choice test at an approved testing facility.
The MCAT assesses a lot of different and important skills, and you can benefit from the help of a professional when you are preparing for your test.

In addition, I reviewed for the MCAT by myself with my own exceptional strategies and so I am very comfortable helping students with every section of the test.
