I am a rising sophomore at Cornell University, studying Human Biology, Health and Society. I am on the premed track and am pursuing a minor in South Asian Studies. I was born in India and grew up in Singapore and Buffalo, NY, where I currently live. This past semester, I tutored middle and high school students in math, biology, and chemistry in Ithaca. I also particularly enjoy tutoring for standardized tests such as the ACT, as I feel it is where students are able to make a lot of progress quickly, and it also tends to be the most rewarding for both the students and for me! As someone who loves making organized and detailed plans, I believe having a clear set of goals for one's future is the key to success, and this can be applied to anything, from a single test to one's entire career. I would love to help my students with setting goals and making plans in their high school and/or college careers, in addition to tutoring a specific subject! In college, I am most involved with Cornell's Hindu Student Council and SPICMACAY, an Indian classical music and dance organization. Outside of academia, I sing South Indian classical music and play many different genres of the piano.

I am a 3rd year undergrad at the University at Buffalo, working toward my Mathematics BS with a computer science concentration. I find math exceptionally fascinating; I not only aim to teach an understanding of math but also an appreciation. I have taken courses in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus (I, II, and III), Geometry, Physics, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Probability, Statistics, and Mathematical Logic. Through my education, I have amassed an understanding of mathematics from multiple angles, and as such I provide a unique lens through which I want to help my students view the subject. Additionally, these courses are fresh in my mind, and so I can recall what did or did not make sense to me and what helped me understand a certain topic - insight I can pass along to my students. Again, I want to instill not only an understanding, but an appreciation for math in my students, as this appreciation will invoke a desire to further their knowledge. In my spare time I play guitar, drums for my band, ski, and watch hockey when I can.
I'm a soon-to-be graduate of SUNY Geneseo's Chemistry Program, and previously a tutor for students at the college. Since finishing at Geneseo I have returned to Buffalo to begin my career in the chemistry field. I have an extreme passion for chem, and for science in general. My particular strengths lie in the hard sciences, though I am also perfectly apt to prepare you or your son/daughter for many forms of standardized testing, as well as mathematics and subject-tests. I believe that the educational experience works best if customized for each individual student, therefore I like to build lesson and study plans around the needs of each one. In my free time I am also a part-time waiter and bartender, and I can often be found on many of the local Disc Golf courses, or watching Shakespeare in the Park during the summers.

I am a recent graduate from a masters program in biostatistics at Columbia University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences, with a focus in neurobiology at Northwestern University.
