I majored in a Geography and Economics with an emphasis on urban studies and quantitative analysis, but the academic skills and concepts from those disciplines apply to a large number of social science fields. I think that education at its best is a collaborative experience between students and teachers to meet the students' goals, and I approach tutoring with that same mindset. I will work with students to help them define their goals and then act as a coach and mentor to help them achieve. In general, I'm a cheery, extroverted guy. I love talking to people about just anything, but Economics and my cat are my favorite topics. In my more introverted moments, I play video games, watch Netflix, and read all kinds of books. I also keep up to date on the world around me by reading the NYTimes and Wall Street Journal during the quiet moments of the day and by reading a "smart" non-fiction book every once in a while. Most of all though, I spend my time thinking about interesting problems and solutions because I am fortunate to truly love what I do.
