Tutoring review by Hamid in Skiatook, OK
The student is preparing for his final exam in two weeks, and this session, I focused specifically on algebraic concepts that will help his foundation for geometric analysis. Algebra is difficult for him, and the more we work to alleviate this, the clearer concepts will become and the more efficient he will be. Again, I connected his practice and repetition in his music practices to the same for algebra. Practice definitely is necessary to become comfortable with the algebra. We also discussed geometric understanding of triangles, complementary angles, and area.

Tutoring review by Michael in Skiatook, OK
Today we started reviewing for the student's physics final exam. She had a review packet of questions from each chapter and we began working through them from the beginning. We primarily worked through the older material from the beginning of the year including 1 dimensional motion, free body diagrams and forces. I primarily assisted her in setting up the equations specifically with the algebra and solving for the proper variable correctly when needed. Also, related to the forces and free body diagrams in setting up the diagrams correctly, using trigonometry to properly calculate force components, and finally in setting up the equations correctly in solving for net forces and/or acceleration or even coefficients of friction. She has the majority of the content understood, but will need to review further before her exam next week to master the content and make sure she can solve the problems independently.
